“Crosby, I saw Mom and Dad building this contraption for us yesterday. They kept turning the diagram up and down, trying to figure out how to put all the pieces together. I guess China only sends pictures and no written instructions.”
“Well, Buddy, Mom & Dad can’t read Chinese, so the instructions wouldn’t help them much (heehee). Each piece had a letter of the alphabet on it, and they assembled them in order. Do you know your ABC’s, Buddy?”
“AY BEE CEE DEE, EEE, EFF, GEE. HACH, IYE, JAY, KAY, ELEMENTOPEE…”
“Purrty good, Buddy! You know there are 3 platforms up here to sit on to see the birds and everything?”
“Yeah, I was up there earlier, Crosby. But I like the feel of this cool concrete with little rocks in it down here too. I think it’s a back- scratcher because when I roll on it, it feels really good!”
“Buddy, they only made one mistake assembling it. See those two oval openings with zippers? Those are supposed to be next to the platforms to get us out easily. They kept spinning the screened cover around and around, but then the grommets at the bottom to hook the screen didn’t line up. Dad kept using dirty words!”
“You mean the kind of words that kids get their mouths washed out with soap for using, Crosby? Did Mom do that to Dad?”
“No, Buddy, no soap.. She just got him a beer, and told him to put us inside to try it out…so here we are!”

For inside cats, this a great way for them to get fresh air and enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature while staying safe from predators. Some can connect directly to windows for easy access in and out, others like this one require the cats to be carried in/out. Start with just a few minutes a day, have food, water and a litter box inside, and maybe a blanket with their scent so they know it is theirs. Sit nearby to make sure they can’t get out and so they know you are there for their security. Enjoy!
