“Crosby, what are you doing under Mom’s car?”

“I’m checking for leaks, Buddy. There’s lots of creaky noises when she turns it off. I’m being a mechanic like Dad showed me!”

“Well, I wanna be a mek-a-nic too, Crosby! Are we going to get dirty and greasy under here?”

“Nah – Just keep your head down and don’t crawl under too far, Buddy.”

“Oops – Hi Mom. What are we doing? Just checking things out for you so your car is safe!”

” I don’t know why Crosby won’t come out. I think he likes the warm feeling from the engine compartment.  But he’s being safe – I told him not to climb up inside there and he listened to me,  for once!”

“Well, Mom- we checked the oil, washed the windows, checked tire pressures, and you’re good to go. What? How did we do all that?

Ok…we didn’t see any oil leaks, could see in the windows so they didn’t need washing, and the tires weren’t flat…so we think you are good to go!”
