“Nuh uh, Buddy. Not me. They took me last month. I’ll stay here and you can tell me all about your trip when you get back. Maybe a nice man will give you a lollipop too!”

Then they called my name and Mom took me into another room with a shiny stainless steel table. A nice lady put me on a scale – guess what? I weigh 13.5 pounds!
Then the not-so-nice lady jabbed me twice in my butt – once on each side!
Then the doctor came in. Doc Enoch said I was a beautiful cat! He listened to my heart beating with a stereoscope!”
“Buddy, it’s a stethoscope, but you are right, he was making sure your heart was beating (Just kidding).”
“Then he felt my sides for tumors and bumps, said everything was great and he would see me in a year. “
“Buddy, did you get a lollipop? That’s what they give good kitties.”
“I think so, Crosby – they gave me some treats for not scratching them! Why do I have to go back in a year?”
“That’s so they can give you the same shots you got this time – one is a rabies shot so you don’t go crazy. The other keeps bad diseases away. You will probably not feel too good the rest of today and tomorrow – the shots have strong medicine in them. But by tomorrow night, you will be fine, Buddy.”
