“The Mechanics…”

“Buddy – Crosby, what are you guys doing out there?”

“Hi Mom, Crosby is showing me how to check out the car like he does. We listen to all the noises and look for leaks and stuff.”

“How’s it going, Crosby? I want to impress Mom that we know what we’re doing! I see bugs on the grill – should I lick them off and polish it up?”

“OK, Buddy. Your turn now. Scooch down under there and look for drips. But NEVER CLIMB UP INTO THE ENGINE!! You have to stay on the ground.”

“I know that, Crosby. Mom says I was a “car engine baby” and my kitty mama died trying to save me & my 4 brothers and sisters from coyotes by taking us up into the engine.”

“Mom, don’t ever worry – I promise to never go up into the engine. We just like listening to the sounds. Crosby keeps a good eye on me and he is too fat to jump up there!”

“OK now…Crosby says I am supposed to look for leaks. I don’t see anything so I guess we are good! I am not going too far under there because I don’t want to get my white fur coat dirty!”

NOTE: With winter cold weather approaching, if your cats are in a garage, always honk the horn or pound on the hood if you think they could be inside the engine compartment seeking warmth!
