IT’S COMING! This has been a labor of love, but we are PROUD to be hosting the First Annual ULTIMATE CAT CONFERENCE! Finally, a conference that is 100% completely dedicated to cats and cat rescue. This 2-day event is jam-packed with speakers which include Jackson Galaxy, Nathan the Cat Lady, Sterling the TrapKing, Eric Phelps with Sister Kitten, Cat Behaviorist Pam Johnson-Bennett, Dr. Catherine Wilbert with Big Sky Ranch, Cat Behaviorist Ingrid Johnson, Dr. Gables with VetMed, and Amy Simcik, Kristin Condit and Sandy Moyer with True Rescue. There will be a broad range of all cat-related topics including TNR, cat medicine/CPR, communal cat sheltering, the latest and greatest cat behavior techniques, increasing cat adoptions, volunteer engagement, making a better social media presence, and so much more! Also, there will be lots of vendors there for all of your cat-related needs! This event is open to the public as well as shelters/rescues/TNR groups, or anyone who is in the business of rescuing cats.

The conference will conclude with a huge wrap-party where live music and dinner will be served, and where we will be announcing the winner of The LionHeart Award.

“Buddy, people can nominate a cat they know that is a hero. Here’s the scoop on the contest from True Rescue…”

Get ready to nominate, because we are launching our First Annual LIONHEART AWARD CONTEST!!! We continue to hear story after story about hero cats, so we figured the best way to honor them was through this award. Here’s how it works:

Any cat who has exhibited bravery above and beyond can be nominated, whether currently owned, or at a shelter/rescue. Some examples might include a cat who was instrumental in saving the life of a human or another animal, or a cat that beat all odds to survive abuse or a medical condition, or a cat who exemplifies what the word “hero” would mean to you.

The contest is in 3 phases. The first phase is the nomination phase, which is throughout the entire month of May. Voting will take place the entire month of June, then we will narrow it down to the top 10. There will be a shorter voting period through the first part of July. The winner will be announced live during our closing party at our Ultimate Cat Conference, taking place July 17th and 18th. We will fly the winner out to Nashville for 3 nights, where they will be able to attend the Cat Conference free, with some special VIP passes, and they will be presented with the LionHeart award as well other tremendous gifts.
